We are offering a range of WSET courses at different Levels giving you the opportunity to choose the suitable learning experience in the journey in the world of Wine. From the novice beginner to the student who would like a broader and deeper understanding of the grape to wine.
We will explore through sight, smell and taste under the guidance of our educator and in small classes of like minded people

WSET LEVEL 1 AWARD IN WINES
An Ideal Introduction into the world of wine, making the learning experience both fun & informative.
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.
Classroom Format: One Day Course and Examination to be included 10am – 6pm

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is designed for people who have little or no prior knowledge of wines, either as a wine enthusiast simply looking to enjoy a good glass of wine or embarking on a career in the wine or hospitality sectors. The qualification will give you confidence with tasting wine by using a globally recognised approach, identifying the principal grape varieties, their styles & characteristics. navigating a global wine list, storage & service and pairing wine & food.
- Key stages of Grape growing and winemaking
- Types and styles of wines
- Principal grape varieties and their characteristics white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio & Riesling. Black Grape Varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir & Syrah.
- Examples of wines from the principal grape varieties.
- Understanding a Wine List
- Storage and Service of wine
- Food and Wine Pairings
- Tutored tasting of nine wines
- Introduction how to taste & describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT)
This qualification has a minimum requirement of:
- 6 hours of study time in a classroom
Format: One Day Course and Examination to be included 10am – 6pm
Level 1 Award in Wines examination consists of 30 multiple- choice questions to be completed in 45 minute

- This qualification is Ofqual regulated.
- All students who pass the exam will receive a WSET certificate and a lapel pin.
- WSET course materials including: An Introduction to Wine Workbook.
- Taste 9 delicious wines to taste
- The use of professional ISO tasting glasses
- Duration: 1 day of professional WSET tuition by a WSET Certified tutor inclusive of examination. Timing: 10 am-6pm
- Registration with WSET and all examination fees
- Internationally – recognised certificate and PIN badge upon successful completion
- Comprehensive student support outside of class should you have any questions before, during and after the course
- Teaching of the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT) ® which will enable you to analyse wines objectively and consistently
- No prior wine knowledge is required just enthusiasm. All our classes are delivered in English therefore a good level of English is beneficial.
- You must be a least 18 years old to enrol on any of our courses ie be of a legal drinking age where participating in any alcohol tasting. However, this is not a barrier in successfully completing the qualification

WSET LEVEL 2 AWARD IN WINES
Looking behind the Label of Wines : Focusing on grape varieties from around the globe and the key elements whether in the vineyard or in the winery that make them recognisable from one year to the next

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is ideal course for a beginner wishing to learn about a wide range of grapes and styles as well as those wishing to develop the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 in Wines. You will acquire knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world , the regions in which they are grown and the styles of wine that they produce.
- Wine Tasting: How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT)
- The Principles of Pairing Wine & Food
- Service and Storage of Wine
- Grape growing and Related Labelling Terms: How environmental factors, grape – growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines . Labelling Terms relating to Grape growing : GIs, Vine Age, Vintage, Late Harvest.
- Winemaking Processes’
- Grape Varieties and their Still Wine styles: Key International red and white grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio/Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvingon , Merlot and Syrah/Shiraz . Together with styles of wines made with 22 regionally important grape varieties grown in 70 wines regions(GI’s) around the World
- Key Wine – Producing Regions of the World: Learn about the main styles of wines from the key wine-producing regions. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
- Other Styles of Wines: Sparkling Wines & Fortified Wine
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time including:
- 16 hours of guided learning (in the classroom)
- 11 hours of personal study and revision
Examination : A one – hour examination with 50 multiple – choice questions to complete taken in the afternoon of the final day of the course and the exam fee is included in the course cost.
- Pass: 55% -69%
- Pass with Merit: 70% – 84%
- Pass with Distinction :85% and above
- On successful completion of the examination you will receive a WSET Certificate a lapel pin and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
- All WSET course materials including: Looking behind the Label course manual, Study Guide, Specification book and SAT Tasting Card
- Approx : 40 delicious wines to taste including Champagne and Port
- The use of professional ISO tasting glasses
- Duration: 4 days of professional WSET tuition by a WSET Certified tutor inclusive of examination. Timings: 3 days :10am – 4pm & Day 4 :10am – 2pm including examination
- Registration with WSET and all examination fees
- Internationally – recognised certificate and PIN badge upon successful completion
- Comprehensive student support outside of class should you have any questions before, during and after the course
- Teaching of the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT) ® which will enable you to analyse wines objectively and consistently
- Resit fees are not included in the course fee.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. If you are completely new to wine then you may wish to study Level 1 Award in Wines but this is by no means essential. All classes are delivered in English therefore a good Level of English is required. You must be of legal drinking age at least 18 years old to enrol on any of our courses. However, this is not a barrier to successfully completing the qualification. Requirements may vary.
